Transitional Housing
What is Transitional Housing?

Transitional housing refers to a supportive community that offers temporary housing for different types of homeless individuals/families in the middle of a crisis.

Transitional housing is intended to support individuals not only in their housing needs but also help with resources until they get back on their feet and be able to re-enter permanent housing in the future.

Those experiencing homelessness, people in recovery, women in transition, veterans, and the elderly are the kind of population that these transitional homes cater to.

How is Transitional Housing the Solution to End Homelessness?

Transitional housing is only a step toward ending homelessness in the United States. This type of program provides temporary shelter to individuals who are in the middle of a crisis and are not able to afford a permanent home. These individuals are given support not only by providing them a place to sleep and live but also by resources until they get back on their feet.

These individuals are also given emotional and spiritual comfort to help them face all sorts of challenges.  Transitional Housing also helps allow these individuals to have more faith in themselves in order to move forward and reach their goals in no time.
